The focus of the Clinical Care Working Group (CWG) is on identifying and advancing projects that will foster interdisciplinary understanding in the clinical education of ACCAHC disciplines. Members of the CWG are faculty and administrators from ACCAHC member organizations with an interest in creating content and programs which foster cross-disciplinary clinical experience and understanding. Among projects under development are identification and development of best practices in clinical training of members of other ACCAHC disciplines (for instance, acupuncture and Oriental medicine students about chiropractic practices) and modules for education of medical students, medical doctors, nurses and members of other disciplines through observations in clinical facilities of ACCAHC schools. The most significant work from September 2009-June 2011 was a collaboration with the Education Working Group relative to developing and then creating materials to support Competencies for Optimal Practice in Integrated Environments.
