ACCAHC's core membership is those organizations related to complementary and alternative healthcare disciplines that have an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education, have a recognized certification or testing organization, and are licensed for professional practice in at least one state. Full membership is limited to three categories of organizations: Councils of Colleges or Schools, Accrediting Agencies, and Certification and Testing Organizations. In addition, through a separate membership category, ACCAHC includes those Traditional World Medicines or Emerging Professions organization that show a commitment to exploring public-health related standard-setting and self-regulatory activities and believe their organizations will benefit friom ACCAHC parrticipation.
